We adopted Gwendolyn from Animal Advocates about 18 months ago. I was doing
volunteer work at Advocates when she was rescued. She had been found near the
Advocates house in the West End. How anyone could have abandoned this sweet-
natured and gentle young cat was beyond me. She seemed so vulnerable among the
older cats at Advocates. We already had three cats but I talked with my husband about
bringing little Gwendolyn home. He agreed that we had room for one more. Our other
cats accepted her right away, no doubt due in part to her playfulness. When she’s not
playing chase with another cat or batting a ping-pong ball around the floor, she can be
found peering down into the fish tank. She also loves to stretch out on the waterbed or
curl up on her leopard blanket for a nap.
