Our cat, Cleo, is very special to us because she chose us, not the other way around.
At the Animal Rescue League, where we got her, Cleo was being kept in a cage in the back room.
As we stopped in front of her cage, she stuck a paw out through the wire mesh and into the
pocket of my mother's coat. We decided that she was most certainly meant to be ours.
She was two years old when we got her, and is 10 now. She has always been the perfect, furry
lap warmer. Cleo is the most talkative cat I've ever seen and every time someone comes near,
she will greet them ... loudly.
We love Cleo very much and are very grateful to the people who keep her healthy and treat her
when she's sick.
