Our Goals and How We Achieve Them
|
Our objective at Harts Run Veterinary Hospital is to provide a modern facility with
services that yield high-quality medical and surgical care for your pet. We strive to
assist your pet in living a longer, happier and healthier life.
An important aspect of our practice is preventative medicine. An annual check-up will
help prevent minor problems from becoming serious problems. These check-ups
may include bloodwork, urine analysis and fecal exams all of which are good ways to
help monitor a pet's general health.
Some pets, especially older ones, require periodic dental cleaning. This helps to prevent a number of
potential problems such as the erosion and infection of gums, sore throats, tonsillitis, valvular heart
disease and other similar issues.
Heartworm prevention is also an important aspect of your pet's care. Heartworm testing for dogs and
heartworm preventative medicine for dogs and cats is available from Harts Run.
It is important that you, as a pet owner, are familiar with procedures
being carried out and expected costs. If you have any questions on these
matters, please ask us!
The veterinarians at Harts Run know it is essential to keep up-to-date on
new advances in veterinary medicine. We accomplish this through
professional journals, educational tapes and seminars. This enables
our doctors to be current on new ideas, drugs and procedures which, in
turn, allows us to provide you with the high quality of medicine you expect
and deserve.
If your pet needs medical attention, we have the capabilities to perform most radiographic, laboratory and
surgical procedures necessary to return your pet to good health. If your pet needs more specialized care
than we can provide, we will refer you to a specialist.
